If you could be anyone in the world you choose, who would you be?

Our best is yet to come

I recently talked with one of my uncles who is in his 70's and he told me how he wants to go places and do things in his mind, but his body does not help him anymore. He is a father of 3 and has always worked in agriculture and carpentry.

I encouraged him that his best time is yet to come, it is in the future not in the past. He stopped for a second and asked me to repeat because he thought that he did not heard it right. I repeated myself and told him the same thing. He had never heard that before in his life I believe and the timing could not have been better. He nodded as if he had believed me or so I hope he did.

The reason I say this is because it says in the Bible:
That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”  1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT

We must believe that our best is yet to come! Before I was born again I had no idea what was in my future. The world was preparing me mentally to prepare for the worst, to save for black days, and to fear the future. However, after I met the LORD, he have me hope for the future and I fear not but I choose to trust Him and know that he has prepared for me a marvellous future.

He's already started to bless me by giving me a wonderful wife that fears God, has integrity and has such a good heart.  My point with this is that when I was growing up I didn't know whom I would marry, but God had already prepared my wife for me and has prepared me for her, and now we can boldly say together that: "Our best time is yet to come!"
