God heals the broken hearted. When you give your heart to somebody, it will eventually be broken whether you want that or not. However, if you dedicate your heart to the one who made it, then you will be blessed and it will be filled with joy.
Jesus said and was recorded in Mathew 5:8 “Blessed (happy, enviably fortunate, and spiritually prosperous–possessing the happiness produced by the experience of God’s favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His grace, regardless of their outward conditions) are the pure in heart, for they shall see God! [Ps. 24:3, 4.]“
Why not follow his advice:
1. Don’t just give your heart to someone. A heartbreak can occur when you least expect it. Someone will break your heart, but God blesses it.
2. Give your heart to God, who made it. You have to know where your heart is. The Bible says in Matthew 6:21 “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” So how do you know where your heart is? It is where you invest your money. You can choose to buy expensive gifts for your girlfriend or boyfriend and be heartbroken and broke when the relationship ends or you can follow the principle of tithing, which is giving God cheerfully the best first fruits of your labor, 10% of your earnings, usually.
3. Live with a pure heart and see God. How do you live with a pure heart? Every day you make a choice, and the choice is to put God first in everything you do.
When we focus on God, and put God first in everything in our lives, including in our relationships, He blesses us abundantly.
